We only send you emails about your account, your shipments and important service changes. We do not send marketing emails, we do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertising networks. We make no decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.
We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the Service, each under a contract that limits what they may do with it:

We are based in the United States and our systems run there. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the United States to provide the Service. We rely on the necessity of the transfer to perform your contract and, with our providers, on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. Shipment and customs data also travels to the destination country of your shipment because that is where it is delivered and cleared.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Files such as passport images are stored in a private bucket and are only served to the account that owns the shipment or to our administrators. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the Service. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

The Trustpilot review widget in our footer sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, though loading it does tell Trustpilot your IP address as described in section 4.
Our traffic and performance statistics work without cookies and without identifying individual visitors. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click through. Blocking the cookies above will stop sign-in and payment from working.
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to receive a copy in a portable format, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can change your name from your profile. To update or remove a saved address or payment method, or for anything else, email support@bagbird.com; we verify the request against your account and respond within 30 days. We never charge for these requests and never treat you differently for making one.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, the rights above include the right to know what we collect and disclose, the right to delete and correct, and the right to non-discrimination; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
The Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. A passport photo of a child may appear in a customs declaration only when a parent or guardian ships on the child's behalf, and it is treated like every other identity document under this policy.
